With just a few simple steps, you can create a beautiful rose-like bread. Even those who struggle with shaping should give it a try. I’m not used to taking photos while baking, so the step-by-step illustrations are hand-drawn by me. Please be kind~ This recipe is portioned for a round mold with a diameter of 18 cm.
Ingredients
Steps
Add a thin layer of oil to your work surface. Roll the dough into a rectangular sheet, 20 cm wide and 40 cm long.
Spread the coconut filling evenly across the dough sheet, leaving a portion at the bottom seam uncovered and pressed thin.
Roll the dough from top to bottom into a long cylinder, seal the seam tightly, and press gently on the dough.
Cut the rolled dough longitudinally into two halves with the cut sides facing up. Make sure not to cut through one end of the dough.
Twist the two strands into a braided pattern, keeping the cut sides facing outward.
Using the uncut end as the center, coil the dough into a circular shape and place it in an 18 cm diameter round mold. Leave it in a warm, moist environment for the final proofing.
