Simple and Delicious Braised Pork with Dried Tofu in One Minute
Years ago, while working in Anhui, friends there loved making this dish. It's nutritious, fragrant but not greasy, and a super delicious dish that's easy to prepare!
Ingredients
Steps
Clean a piece of pork belly.
Cut it into evenly sized small pieces for later use.
Prepare 3 sheets of dried tofu.
Cut them into long blocks.
Then roll each sheet up.
Tie each rolled sheet into a knot.
It looks like this.
Everything is prepared.
Boil water, add the pork belly to blanch, and put 1 tablespoon of cooking wine to remove the smell.
Boil for 1 minute and take out.
Add 1 tablespoon of water to a pot.
Add half a tablespoon of white sugar.
Simmer over low heat and keep stirring.
Cook until it turns caramel colored.
Quickly stir-fry the pork belly.
Add ginger slices, chopped green onion, Sichuan peppercorns, and star anise.
Continue stir-frying.
Then add water, enough to cover the pork.
Boil for 2 minutes on high heat, then simmer on low heat.
After about 40 minutes, when only a third of the sauce remains, add the dried tofu knots.
Stir well, then add 1 tablespoon of salt for flavor.
Keep simmering on low heat until the sauce is reduced.
Serve, sprinkle with chopped green onion or cilantro as garnish. The pork is tender and not greasy, and the dried tofu is very flavorful! Give it a try!
A perfect combination of meat and vegetables~
